"If there is one impossible scenario among the countless scenarios for the east of Hamburg and the area in Hammerbrook around the Billebogen, it is that everything remains as it is - because the city never stands still. Under the magnifying glass of several official interests and planned by the visions of the master plans 'Stromaufwärts an Bille und Elbe' and the 'Alster-Bille-Elbe Grünzug', the area is about to be transformed. Local actors have the opportunity to become part of this transformation process in order to exert influence, to protect what is loved, to carefully open it up for residents of the city and to open up the possibility for everyone to be able to stay. Here, away from glossy master plan renderings, a more polyphonic and diverse story of its own is told. A story that tells of urban spaces where the common good is practiced, contradictions can gather, and conflicts can become vocal. Which is about collaborative ways of working, supporting each other, arguing together, sharing knowledge and thus continuously producing commons.
Starting from the rooms of the 'Hallo: Verein zur Förderung raumöffnender Kultur e.V.' in the Kraftwerk Bille, some of these places will be visited together in a walk: The experimental district office 'Schaltzentrale', studios of the artist* community in the Zählerwerk as well as the public green space project 'PARKS'."
