Dust is everywhere. No matter how often we remove it, it always comes back as a companion of all living things. It floats through our lives in the smallest particles or as a wool mouse and fills vacuum cleaner bag after vacuum cleaner bag. äöü takes a closer look at the "black box" and dissects this dirty, gray and small archive of our everyday life. Who and what does it consist of? Do great feelings also turn to dust in the end? Who actually cleans this theater and what does it all have to do with operetta? A search for the beauty of dust, for form and content, life and death, wage labor and magic.
Using elements from language, visual art, dance and theory, äöü (Patricia Bechtold and Johannes Karl) transform every day found objects into sensual abstract narrative spaces. Their works are situated between performance and installation, but they also shamelessly make use of other genres when their object of research offers it. What is important to äöü, however, is collaboration on an equal footing with other artists. äöü is therefore always two plus more.
