In the workshop with digital artist Gloria Schulz you will get an introduction to motion capturing methods and an overview of current applications and their possibilities. It will also be explained which motion qualities can be transferred well into digital space.

The workshop starts with a technical introduction, a presentation of application scenarios and different MoCap methods. Together you will test the possibilities of working with MoCap suits: How do different motion dynamics behave in the software? What are technical limits in terms of duration and complexity of choreographies? What technical requirements are needed when working with MoCap? Which file formats are created and how can I use them? Which software and tools can I use to post-process my data? In the workshop there is also room for free trying out of movements in MoCap suits. You don't need to bring anything and no previous knowledge. The workshop will be held in German.
