In their film, Nora Elberfeld, Jonas Woltemate and their seven-member ensemble celebrate the visually powerful language of Baroque painting with movement, music, costume and great emotion. Nine pictures with motifs such as abundance, pathos and sensuality are examined in opulent choreographies for their significance for the present.
In places of more or less designed nature, they invite us to a visual encounter in which no gesture is too big, nothing too dramatic and nothing too much.

Nora Elberfeld and Jonas Woltemate studied performance studies in Hamburg and have since worked together on various projects. With »THE TRIUMPH OF THE GOLDEN GLORY« they have fulfilled their wish to continue their common artistic interests in co-authorship: dealing with formal choreographic concepts that simultaneously deal with the affective potential of movement and dance, but also with the performance itself. They are concerned with the very basic fascination with dance and watching it, and the attempt to make mechanisms of the performance experience visible and reflectable without undermining the effect on the audience
